The Client: Spiritfilled is a prestigious whisky cask specialist that professionally sources, bottles and stores whisky as it matures. The services are aimed at enthusiasts and investors. 

Client Goal: To boost keyword visibility, inbound organic traffic, and conversion rates via an SEO drive that promotes the specialist whisky cask investment services that they offer.

The Challenge

Spiritfilled reviewed their SEO activities in December of 2024, at which point the platform had no targeted keywords that were ranking on page 1 of Google. Target queries were appearing well down the rankings at page 4 or lower. With such low visibility, their ideal client profile simply wasn’t able to discover the brand online. 

Web Choice’s Solution

Our SEO team decided on an entirely fresh approach, and a raft of new activities were required to achieve the results our client was looking for. Our strategy was to overhaul technical SEO right across the site, and make significant on-page improvements. When both the structure and content of the site had been upgraded, we then inserted strategic backlinks.  

Our SEO worked on:

  • Revising all meta titles and descriptions for clarity and relevance
  • Updating content structure to more closely align with search intent of target users
  • Implementing high-quality backlinks through business profiles, niche directories, and other whisky-related platforms
  • Prioritising research on commercial intent keywords and then implementing them across landing pages

The Results

By May of 2025 Spiritfilled successfully achieved page 1 rankings for multiple high-value search terms that were identified as highly relevant to whisky cask investment, bottling, and storage.

The improvements our team made significantly enhanced the online presence of the brand, ensuring it was discoverable by the right audience.

The keyword strategy we implemented was the result of focused on-page SEO revisions and strategic backlink acquisition, each of which was carefully aligned with target user search behaviour and intent.
